You rock! I just installed these fenders and a pannier rack on my 2006 Giant OCR2. They went on just great. I can also verify that there is enough clearance for 700x28 tires. So glad I found this page!!

Thanks for the feedback. Improvements with the union could definitely be made. As you have noted, the weight of the bike causes the union to slip and the bike to rotate forward. The easiest way to combat this would be to mount the bike in the opposite direction. (Be aware that doing so will block access to the rear cassette and derailleur). I have thoughts on additional improvements but have no time to implement them. Winter is coming, I hope to have time to make some improvements then. Using some type of reverse threaded union would work also.

could you reverse thread (or flip the front of the bike the other way)the union so that the weight pulling to the floor actually tightned the union insead of loosening it.

great job. your improvements were a big help. i tried to use parts that i had at home. mine will be a mix of metal pipe and pvc for the union and tee. gonna try a rubber coupler used for abs pipes cut to fit inside the tee. also using a different latch but its what i had. for security i can use the metal ring clasps that come on the rubber coupler over the tee. still going to look for the right latch and need hinges.

I just put these same fenders on my 2008 OCR1, so if anyone's wondering: it can be done. Clearances are a little tight but it looks good.

......Nice job....very creative, especially the mechanism that holds onto the bike itself.
